Note: Donations are not accepted after hours. Anyone leaving items or material after business hours may be subject to prosecution. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please be aware that our donations can close at any time due to an influx of donations. If you are planning on bringing donations in, please call the store before you leave to ensure our donations are still open
All donations are subject to approval!
Unfortunately, we cannot accept every donation that we receive, either not in the condition that we require or just a seasonal item that is out of season. For more information about items we do not take, check out our list below, or give us a call!
Appliances
Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, vent hoods, washers, dryers, dishwashers, toaster ovens, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, air purifiers, window or portable air conditioners, space heaters, fans, and vacuums
Appliances must be in complete working order and clean. Over the stove microwaves must have hanging bracket included.
No trash compactors, cooktops or built in ovens.
Building Materials
Plywood, paneling, sheetrock, insulation, full bundles of shingles, unopened bags of concrete or grout
All sheet material must be new and at least a half sheet or more. No siding
Cabinets
Sets or individual cabinets
Cabinets must be in good condition
Doors
Interior, exterior, and storm doors
Patio doors must have a frame that’s in good condition (not broken or rotten). Storm doors must have three trim pieces. No interior fire rated doors. No shower or cabinet doors.
Electrical
Residential and current code only: extension cords, flatscreen TVs that work, outlets, plate covers, and light switches
We cannot accept electronics (computers, printers, DVD players, landlines, etc.)
Flooring
Tile, hardwood, & laminate. Clean, unstained, pet-free carpets and rugs
No used or partial boxes of tile or flooring - must be full and complete. 100 square foot minimum is needed for all flooring
Furniture
Dining table and chairs set, coffee tables, side tables, bookshelves, dressers, nightstands, file cabinets, limited soft furniture as space allows.
Upholstered furniture must be free from rips, stains, burns, and odors.
No sleeper sofas or bed items like mattresses, boxsprings, or bedframes. No desks or enclosed entertainment centers. No single dining tables or dining chairs - only full sets
Household
Pictures, decorative mirrors, home decor, kick knacks
Mirrors have to have a frame.
We do not accept exercise equipment, pianos/organs, pool or ping pong tables, clothing, or baby items. No blinds of any kind.
Hardware
Hinges, doorknobs, cabinet hardware, nails, screws, bolts, staples, etc.
Hardware must be sorted, clean and not rusty
HVAC
New central air systems, vent covers, ducting
No gas fireplaces or inserts
Lawn & Garden
New edging and fencing. Lawn or patio furniture, yard tools, gently used grills, planters
No homemade yard tools or dirty materials. We do not accept pavers.
Lighting
Light fixtures, lamps, ceiling fans, and glass globes
All hanging lights must have hanging brackets. We do not accept fluorescent bulbs and fixtures, recessed lights, or used light bulbs.
Lumber
Trim, dimensional lumber, composite decking, and deck boards
All lumber and trim must be greater than 4’ in length, free from nails, and not moldy or rotten.
Plumbing & Bathroom
Sinks, toilets, new shower surrounds, working faucets, towel bars, medicine cabinets, new PVC and metal piping (6’ or longer)
Toilets must be clean with no cracks. We do not accept shower doors, jacuzzi tubs or vanity tops without the base. No cast iron tubs or sinks and no wall mounted bathroom sinks. No used water softeners or water heaters.
Paint
New and used paint and paint tools
Paint tools must be in good, working condition. All paint must be half or more full, never been frozen, and all outside labels can still be read.
Shelving
Shelf boards, shelf brackets, shelving hardware, totes that aren't cracked, and wall shelves
Tools
Hand and power tools, ladders, lawn and garden equipment, toolboxes, etc.
All in working condition. Items must have all needed batteries and chargers. No homemade tools. All ladders must have safety and warning label
Windows
Double pane insulated vinyl or aluminum clad
Must be an operating window, less than 5’ long, complete with frame, no moisture damage and less than 30 years old. No storm windows, porch windows, bay windows or picture windows. No wooden windows.
Items NOT accepted: Baby items like cribs or strollers, bed items like bedframes, mattresses, or boxsprings, blinds or shades, clothing, countertops, electronics like printers or landlines, enclosed TV stands, exercise equipment, fluorescent lights, hazardous materials, musical instruments, siding, sleeper sofas, shower doors, unframed mirrors, used light bulbs, vehicle parts & anything not in clean, working condition.
